Mays' art begins with the digital integration of photography,
typography and other graphical elements into a single image. The image
is transfered onto a solid surface and painted with oils, creating edgy
urban feel. Many of the retro beach scenes in this series “Imaginary
Friends” use this style thereby adding a modern context.
